Women’s Hair
by Kuro on May.31, 2009, under General
Lately, it seems the amount of women in my life going for “natural” hair has grown exponentially. The various reasons are numerous, but every now and again i’ll hear comments about how men prefer “long and straight”. Now, i’m going to say that i could care less as to what a women’s hair looks like, so long as it suits her and she’s comfortable with it. Natural, Weave, Sewn-In, Extensions, Braids, Dreads, Perm, or otherwise it’s not a big deal to me. I’m not going to speak on behalf of all men, so fellas chime in if you disagree, but I just don’t put that much emphasis on “hair”. It’s just not that serious to me and it certainly doesn’t merit the idolatry that it gets from our community. Simply, put i dont’ care, and i’m curious to know if other men do?
Same Old Song..

I know I’m deviating a little bit from the nature of this blog, but this topic seems to require a little attention. It feels as though every time a conversation about the sexes comes up women can’t seem to stop bashing males. Then, when they’ve finished annoying, disgusting, and alienating every male around them, they wonder why “I can’t find a man”. Now, I’m not going to say all men are perfect, but neither are you and if you think “male bashing” is going to get you anywhere with us, then you’re in for a world of loneliness if you’re not already.
Education and your spouse..
by Kuro on May.19, 2009, under General
Sometimes I wonder if education really makes a difference in the type of person you ultimately end up marrying? In the past I would have replied with a resounding yes, and cited that people that don’t have similar levels of education wouldn’t last very long. My reasons for that line of thinking have long wilted away with my youth, but there are still many that feel very strongly about being “educationally yolked”. Religion, Socio-Economic status, family history are all standard reasons for people to avoid or walk away from relationships, but “education” for some in very important. I’ve seen many blue collar guys get kicked to the curb, because of their educational pedigree and I’m curious – does the education level of your wife matter for you as much as the Fab 3 (Religion, Socio-Economic Status, and Family History)? Did she have to have an advanced degree or would a high school diploma have been fine?
