While I was in Church today I thought about all the temptation that exists in our world and how “strong” a marriage must be to survive. With all the things that can tear a marriage apart, I wondered if the single most important thing that we could do to shore it up is left forgotten. You see, while, I am a good fearing Christian, I too sometimes forget to keep God as the central focus. I forget who ultimately is running this show, while I’m not running around building idols or worship, what I’m not doing is ensuring that my spiritual course is on track. And, now that I’m not only living my life for myself, but my wife and family as well I need to make sure that I keep myself in check, because if I don’t – I sincerely can’t fathom the consequences.
